Using Reckon Accounts inventory with POS
POS integrates with Reckon Accounts to give you a perpetual inventory system.
Reckon Accounts inventory
Inventory is only available in Reckon Accounts Accounting and above.
When you rst come to use POS you should set up inventory items within Reckon Accounts. From then on, all
inventory taken from the store should go through the POS Terminal as a sale. All inventory received from suppliers
should be entered into inventory through Reckon Accounts. If this process is strictly adhered to, you will always
know your stocktake gures.
Your inventory consists of all of the items that are for sale in your store, and how many of them you have available.
POS gives you a “perpetual” inventory system. That is, it calculates the inventory on hand by removing inventory
as it is sold and adding inventory as it is purchased. If it is set up and used correctly, it tells you exactly what your
inventory levels are at any particular point in time.

Reckon Accounts oers a variety of item types to choose from, depending on the level of Reckon Accounts you are
running. Following is a summary of the dierences in some of these types.
