7. Select the directory where you want Windows Me installed.
Make sure that C:\WINDOWS is selected as the installation directory,
and then click Next>.
If you want to install Windows Me in a different directory, select “Other
directory”, and then type in path to the directory. Of course, you can
leave the default C:\WINDOWS as it is.
8. Select the kind of setup you want.
Make sure that Typical is selected and then click Next>.

You can select another setup option if you like, but be sure to select
Typical if you want to restore the system to its initial factory defaults.
