Click the text field where you want to merge data to select it.
4 On the Work Window (page 21), select the Merge settings check box
under Text Properties.
This causes M to appear in the text field, and enables specification
of Merge Items (database item name).
5 Click the name of the item you want to merge.
The displayed data does not change, but now when you perform a
merge print operation, data will be merged into the location of the
item name (field) you selected.
In the case of a barcode field, configure settings using the barcode
properties screen (page 41).
Configuring Settings on the Text Properties
Screen
You can use the procedure below to configure merge settings.
1 Perform steps 1 through 3 of the procedure under "Configuring Field
Merge Settings" (page 50).
2 Click the Details button on Text Properties.
You could also click Text settings (T)... on the Settings (S) menu.
It displays the Text Properties screen.
3 Select the Print Merged (M) check box.
This causes M to appear in the text field, and enables specification
of Merge Items (G) (database item name).
4 Click the name of the item you want to merge.
The displayed data does not change, but now when you perform a
merge print operation, data will be merged into the location of the
item name (field) you selected.
5 Click OK.
