How Pattern, Error Diffusion, and Nearest Color Differ from Each
Other
Both the Pattern and Error Diffusion monochrome settings make
dark colors blacker and light colors lighters, producing the same effect
as that when a color photograph is copied on a color copy machine.
However, compared with Pattern, Error Diffusion produces better
looking printing results. Conversely, Nearest Color print all colors within
a specific value range as black and all light colors as white, resulting in
strong contrast.
