Push to Talk
Searching for PTT contacts and PTT
groups
1. Touch the Search key K while in the Push to Talk application.
2. Start entering the name of the PTT contact or the PTT group you
are searching for.
As you type, PTT contacts and PTT groups with matching names
appear below the search box.
3. Touch the matching name of PTT contact or PTT group in the list to
open the details screen, or touch the Barge call icon
to place a
Barge call.
Changing Push to Talk settings
1. On the PTT Dialer screen, the PTT Call log screen, the PTT
Contacts screen, or the PTT Groups screen, touch the Menu key
M > Settings.
2. Change the following settings as necessary.
Push to Talk settings
Push to Talk mode: Check or uncheck to turn Push to Talk on or
off.
Status notification: When checked, an ongoing PTT status
notification is displayed on the Status bar. (An ongoing PTT status
notification is always displayed on the Status bar while a PTT call
is in progress, regardless of this setting.)
Alert tone: Opens a dialog where you can select the ringtone to
sound when you receive an Alert call.
Vibrate: Opens a dialog where you can set the phone to vibrate
whenever you receive an Alert call, or never, or only in Silent
mode, or only when not in Silent mode.
Push to Talk key
Short press: Allows you to select the action to be initiated when
the Tactile Key/PTT Key , is pressed shortly.
