Push to Talk
Placing an Alert call
You can send an alert to any user with Verizon Wireless PTT service.
The user may answer or ignore the alert.
1. Touch the Dialer tab on the Push to Talk application.
The PTT Dialer screen opens.
2. Enter the 10-digit number of Verizon Wireless PTT subscriber.
3. Touch Alert, then press the Tactile Key/PTT Key ,. When
the called party answers the Alert call, the message Connected to
appears.
4. Press and hold the Tactile Key/PTT Key , to talk.
5. Release the Tactile Key/PTT Key , to let the other party talk.
6. Touch the end call icon to end a call.
Using the menu on the PTT Dialer screen
The following menu is available on the PTT Dialer screen.
Touch the Menu key • M to access the following options:
Add contact: Adds the entered phone number to PTT Contacts.
(Only applicable when the phone number is not already in your PTT
Contacts)
Add to phone contacts: Adds the entered phone number to
Contacts. (Only applicable when the phone number is not already in
your Contacts)
PTT off (PTT on): Turns PTT off or on.
