Push to Talk
Placing a PTT call
You can make two types of PTT calls:
A • Barge call automatically connects to the other party. The called
party does not have the option to ignore the call.
An • Alert call is a call to notify a called party that the calling party
wants to talk using a tone. The called party has the option to answer
or ignore the call.
Placing a Barge call
1. Touch the Dialer tab on the Push to Talk application.
The PTT Dialer screen opens.
Touch to add the phone number to
PTT Contacts.
Touch to place a Barge call.
Touch a tab to switch to PTT Call
log, PTT Contacts, or PTT Groups.
Touch to erase digits one by one.
Touch and hold to erase the entire
phone number.
Touch to open the Dialer screen of
the Phone application.
Touch to place an Alert call.
2. Enter the 10-digit number of Verizon Wireless PTT subscriber.
3. Touch Barge, then press the Tactile Key/PTT Key ,.
The PTT call in progress screen appears.
Press the Volume Keys • _ to adjust the call volume.
