Push to Talk
Opening Push to Talk
1. Touch the Launcher icon on the Home screen.
The Launcher opens.
2. Touch the Push to Talk icon .
3. When PTT is turned off, the message asking you whether to turn on
PTT appears. Touch Enable PTT > OK.
The Push to Talk application opens, displaying the most recently
used tab on top of four tabs: Dialer, Call log, Contacts, and
Groups.
NOTES
When PTT is turned on and the PTT service is available, the PTT •
icon
appears on the Status bar.
When PTT is turned on but the PTT service is not available, the •
PTT icon on the Status bar is displayed in grey .
When PTT is turned on, pressing the Tactile Key/PTT Key • ,
opens the PTT Contacts screen by default. Pressing and holding
the Tactile Key/PTT Key , places a Barge PTT call to the
most recent contact or group by default. For instructions on how

settings” on page 115.
