Troubleshooting
Connect
Q1
I can’t establish a Bluetooth wireless
technology connection between the
camera and smartphone.
Does the smartphone support Bluetooth
wireless technology?
Bluetooth wireless technology is used to
connect
the camera with the smartphone.
Confirm that the smartphone you are
using is Bluetooth wireless technology
compatible. If you are unsure whether it
does, contact the manufacturer of your
smartphone.
Is the smartphone’s Bluetooth turned on?
A smartphone will not be able to connect
with the camera if its Bluetooth is turned
off.
Is the camera close enough to the
smartphone?
The camera cannot connect with a
smartphone if they are too far apart from
each other.
Q2
I can’t establish a wireless LAN
connection between the camera and
smartphone.
Is the smartphone configured for auto Wi-
Fi connection?
If the smartphone or other device has a
Wi-Fi connection auto switching function
(auto network switching), the function
may be affecting the connection with the
camera. Disable Wi-Fi connection auto
switching (network auto switching) by
clearing the setting’s check box, etc.
If you are still unable to connect...
Delete the camera’s SSID from the
smartphone Wi-Fi settings, and then re-
input it along with the required password.
Q3
The wireless LAN connection is
broken.
Is there a wireless LAN connection
between the smartphone and camera?
The smartphone may be connected with
another wireless device.
Check the smartphone’s Wi-Fi settings
and
confirm that the camera is selected for
connection.
Is there another wireless device operating
nearby?
Connection may have been lost due to
interference caused by a nearby
microwave
oven, cordless phone, or other
wireless device. Move the camera away
from the device causing the problem.
Q4
I forgot my SSID and password.
While holding down the camera [MOVIE] and
[ /SLOW]
buttons, hold down the [POWER]
button for at least six seconds. The camera’s
[STATUS] lamp will go out and the password
will be returned to its initial default setting.
Note that initializing the password unregisters
the camera from the Gʼz EYE app, so you will
need to register it again.
Shooting Images
Q1
Images are not recorded when I tap
the smartphone’s shutter button.
If the message “Capture failed. Check
camera.” is on the display, this could be due
to any one of the reasons below.
●
Memory is full.
Delete image files you no longer need.
l
Displaying a Single Image
l
Multiple Image Operations
●
There
is something wrong with the memory
card.
Turn off the camera, remove the memory
card, and then reload it. If this does not stop
the message from appearing, format the
memory card.

Formatting Camera Memory
●
I can’t create folders.
Delete
folders on the memory card that you
no longer need.
Q2
Images are out of focus.
Is the lens dirty?
If the lens is dirty, clean it off.
Is the camera fixed and steady when
shooting?
You may be moving the camera when
shooting. Make sure the camera is
secured in place when shooting.
Q3
There is digital noise in images.
Sensitivity may have been increased
automatically for a dark subject, which
increases the chance of digital noise. Use a
light or some other means to illuminate the
subject.
Q4
An image I shot was not saved.
Is the camera sufficiently charged?
Camera power may have been turned off
before the save operation was complete,
which will result in the image not being
saved. When the battery indicator shows
, charge the battery as soon as
possible.
Was the memory card removed while
shooting was in progress?
You may have removed the memory card
from the camera before the save
operation was complete, which will result
in the image not being saved. Do not
remove
the memory card before the save
operation is complete.
Q5
The image is out of focus during
movie recording.
This could be due to any of the following
reasons.
●
Focusing may not be possible because the
subject is outside the focus range. Shoot
within the allowable range.
●
The lens may be dirty. Clean the lens.
●
A
large increase in the distance between the
camera and subject after recording starts
can cause the image to go out of focus.
