Establishing a Wireless LAN
Connection
Use the procedure below to establish a
wireless
connection between the camera and
a smartphone.
Note
Turn on your smartphone’s Wi-Fi
before connecting.
The operation you need to perform
depends
on the type and setup of your
smartphone. If you are unable to
connect, check to make sure that your
smartphone’s Wi-Fi is turned on.
If this is the first wireless LAN
connection with the camera or if there is
no Bluetooth wireless technology
connection with the camera
1.
Press the [WLAN] button.
This turns on the camera and starts up its
wireless LAN.

2. On the smartphone’s Wi-Fi settings
screen, select the camera’s SSID and
input the password.
This establishes a wireless LAN
connection between the camera and
smartphone.

The SSID is provided on a sheet
([Important] About the camera’s SSID)
packed with the camera.
You
can find the initial default password in
the camera’s user’s guide.
If you have already established a
wireless LAN connection while
connected with the camera using
Bluetooth wireless technology
1.
Press the [WLAN] button.
This turns on the camera.
2. Start up “Gʼz EYE” app.
3. At the bottom of the top screen, tap
“Wi-Fi”.
This starts up the camera’s wireless LAN.
After a short while, a wireless LAN
connection will be established between
the camera and smartphone.

Terminating a Connection
The connection between the camera and
smartphone will be terminated if you hold
down the camera’s [WLAN] button for about
two
seconds, or if you hold down the camera’s
[POWER] button for about two seconds to turn
off power.

Checking the Connection
Status
You can use the Gʼz EYE app top screen to
check
the current status of the connection with
the camera. The button at the bottom of the
screen is red while there is connection
between the camera and smartphone.
When the camera is already registered
on the Gʼz EYE app

Unregistering a Camera
To connect the camera with a different
smartphone, first unregister the Gʼz EYE app
and camera. You can unregister by deleting
the registration data from both the Gʼz EYE
app and the camera.
1. Start up the “Gʼz EYE” app.

On the top screen, tap
“Setting”.
This displays the settings screen.
3.
For
“Camera Registration”, tap
“Unregister”.
4.
Tap “Unpair”.
This deletes the camera’s registration
information from the Gʼz EYE app.
5. Perform the required operation on the
camera to delete the Gʼz EYE app’s
registration information from the camera.
