GETTING READY

To replace the battery
1.
Open the battery cover.
2.
Press down on the stopper in the direction
indicated by the arrow.
• This will cause the battery to come part way out of
the slot.
3.
Release the stopper and pull the battery from
the camera.
• Take care so you do not drop the battery.
4.
Load a new battery into the camera (page 42).

Note the following precautions when handling or using the
battery and the rapid charger.

● SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Be sure to read the following Safety Precautions before
using the battery for the first time.
NOTE
• The term “battery” in this manual refers to the CASIO
NP-40 Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery.
• Use only the rapid charger (BC-30L) to charge the
special NP-40 rechargeable lithium ion battery.
Never use any other charging device.
