Quick Start Basics
Before using a memory card with this camera, establish a connection between the
camera and a smartphone and use the EXILIM Connect app (page 26) to format it.
1. On the smartphone, go to the EXILIM Connect TOP screen and tap
“¥”.
2. On the smartphone, tap “Setting up the camera”.
3. On the smartphone, tap “Format”.
4. Tap “OK” twice.
IMPORTANT!
• Formatting a memory card that already has snapshots or other files on it, will delete
its contents. Normally you do not need to format a memory card again. However, if
storing to a card has slowed down or if you notice any other abnormality, re-format
the card.
• Be sure to use EXILIM Connect or a controller that came with another (separately
available) CASIO camera to format the memory card. Formatting a memory card
on a computer can result on non-compliance with the SD standard, extremely slow
processing speed, and other compatibility problems.
• For details about the formatting operation using the controller, refer to the user
documentation that comes with the other camera.
