Turning Power On and Off
Limiting the Duration of the Sleep State
You can use the [Power Save Mode] setting (see the separate Hardware User’s Guide) to
limit the duration of the sleep state that is entered by the Resume function. If you have “1
day” specified for [Power Save Mode], for example, the ClassPad remains in the sleep state
for one day after power is turned off. After that, the ClassPad powers down completely,
which deletes all data that was backed up by the Resume function.
The following describes the difference between powering up from the sleep state and
powering up after the ClassPad powers down completely.

Powering Up from the Sleep State
Power comes on immediately, with all data backed up by the Resume function restored.

Powering Up after Complete Power Down
1. Press the
o
key or tap the ClassPad screen.
This causes the ClassPad to perform it startup routine, which takes a little time to
complete.
2. The application menu will appear after you finish the touch panel alignment procedure.
