Introduction

CA-01C is waterproof to IPX5

and IPX8

standards, and dustproof to IP5X

standard if all caps are closed as well as the EXILIM Phone panel is securely attached.

*1 :

IPX5 means that the CA-01C continues to function as a phone after being sprayed from all directions with 12.5

liters of water per minute from a 6.3 mm diameter nozzle for at least 3 minutes, from a distance of approx. 3 meters.

*2 :

IPX8 means that the CA-01C continues to function as a phone after being immersed in tap water of room

temperature to a depth of 1.5 meters, and left there for approx. 30 minutes before being removed again,

and during the 30 minutes (appro

x.) the CA-01C is immersed underwater, its camera continues to function.

*3 :

IP5X means the level of protection. IP5X means that CA-01C continues to function as a phone and to maintain

security after being left in a device containing dust (diameter: 75

m or smaller) for 8 hours, agitated and removed.

You can talk or watch 1Seg without an umbrella in the rain (approx. 20 mm of rain in an hour).

・ Do not attach/remove the EXILIM Phone panel or do not open/close any caps when your

hands are wet or when your FOMA terminal has water drops on it.

・

You can rinse the FOMA terminal by immersing and slowly moving in tap water of room

temperature filled in a bowl, or rinse it with hands under light running water from the faucet.

* Rinse the FOMA terminal with the EXILIM Phone panel securely attached while

covering all caps to prevent it from opening.

* Do not use a brush, sponge, soap

, or detergent for washing.

Do not apply running water directly to the mouthpiece/microphone, earpiece or speaker.

If the FOMA terminal comes in contact with any salt water, sea water, mud or soil, rinse it immediately.

If these dry up and set, the dirt would be harder to remove, and it may cause scratches and failures.

You can use the FOMA terminal in the bathroom. However, do not immerse it in the bathtub.

Never immerse the FOMA terminal in hot spring water or water containing soap, detergent or bath powder.

Avoid using the FOMA terminal for a long time in the bathroom.

Things to keep in mind

・

Before use, ensure that you securely close all caps and the EXILIM Phone panel so that they

are completely attached. If any fine dirt (fine fibers, hairs, or sands) is between the cap/

cover and the FOMA terminal, water or dust could enter the inside of the FOMA terminal.

・

Do not spray or immerse the FOMA terminal in liquids other than water of room temperature as illustrated below.
