Star Window
Once every hour*, a star moves from left to right across the star window at
6 o’clock. The star takes about four seconds to complete its trip across the
window. Once every six hours*, the star moves across the window at a faster
speed, taking only about two seconds to complete the trip.
* The timing of star movement is based on when you press A to start it.
Example: When A is pressed at 0:25 to start star movement
The star will move across the window at normal speed at 1:25, 2:25, etc. It will
move at high speed at 6:25, 12:25, etc.
You can disable star movement, if you like.
Certain conditions can cause misalignment of the stationary position of the star,
making it visible in the window when it is not moving. In this case, you can adjust
the stationary position of the star so it is not visible.
To disable star movement
Pull out the crown to the second click.1.
This will cause the second hand to stop.
Push the crown back in to its normal position.2.
This will cause the second hand to start moving again.
Pulling the crown out further will cause the hour, minute, and second hands to
stop. At this time you can adjust the current time setting.
To restart star movement
Press A.
This will cause the star to travel across the star window twice.
To correct the stationary position of the star
Pull out the crown to the second click.1.
This will cause the second hand to stop.
Use 2. A (right) and B (left) to adjust the position of the star.
Holding down either button moves the star at high speed.
After the position is the way you want, press the crown back in to its normal 3.
position.
This will cause the second hand to start moving again.
Pulling the crown out further will cause the hour, minute, and second hands to
stop. At this time you can adjust the current time setting.
For a watch with an elapsed time bezel
Rotate the elapsed time bezel to align the
mark with the
minute hand.
After that, you will be able to determine how much time has
elapsed since you adjusted the bezel position by checking the
bezel value that the minute hand is currently pointing to.
Elapsed time bezel
Some water resistant models are equipped with a screw
lock crown.
With such models, you must unscrew the crown in the
direction noted in the illustration to loosen it before you can
pull it out. Do not pull too forcibly on such crowns.
Note that a screw lock crown watch is not water resistant
while its crown is loose. Be sure to screw the crown back in
as far as it will go after confi guring settings.
