Using the C-MOS Scanner
1. Tuen on the Handheld Terminal, position its barcode reader port near the barcode or
2-dimensional bar code, and then press a Trigger key.

2. The Handheld Terminal LED emits light and reads the barcode.
Indicator 1 (read operation indicator lamp) lights green when reading is successful.

When you press a Trigger key, LEDs in the Handheld Terminal emit green and red
light. Align the green light with the center of the barcode or 2-dimensional bar codes
you are trying to read. Take particular care aligning the light when there are other
barcodes nearby.
When reading a large barcode, adjust the position of the Handheld Terminal so that
all of the barcode is enclosed within the red light.
Important !
If you have problems properly reading a barcode, change the angle and/or the
distance between the label and Handheld Terminal and try reading the barcode
again.
A barcode can be read from a distance of 60mm to 420mm (

For smaller barcodes, position the barcode reader port closer to the barcode.
For larger barcodes, position the barcode reader port further from the barcode.
Note that a reader application is required to read barcodes and 2-dimensional
bar codes.
The DT-870M52 supports reading of 2-dimensional bar codes.
