Example 2
(CCEMCC) Simplex | Duplex | Fixedata assign | Multipoint >D
output stream, start timeslot, end timeslot >P4, 22
(P4; TS 22; Fixedata ;) from, TS, = ; >S2,1
(P4; TS 23; Fixedata ;) from, TS, = ; >P3,2
(P4; TS 24; Fixedata ;) from, TS, = ; >S1,1
In examples 1 and 2 the operator has elected to assign timeslots to
streams one at a time. If the operator wanted to assign a block of
timeslots to a stream then both the start and end timeslots would be
supplied as in the following example:
Example 3
(CCEMCC) Simplex | Duplex | Fixedata assign | Multipoint >D
output stream, start timeslot, end timeslot >P4,1,10
(P4; TS 1; Fixedata ;) from, TS, = ; >S2,4
output stream, start timeslot, end timeslot >
In example 3 the operator has cross connected a contiguous block of 10
timeslots to port 4. Port 4 timeslots 1, 2, 3 to 10 are sourced from stream
S2 timeslots 4, 5, 6 to 13 respectively. Note that the menu system only
prompts for a single cross-connection source assignment when using block
mode. The prompt then returns for another output stream selection. If
the assignment supplied does not have the required range then an error
message is returned and no assignments are made as in the following
example:
Example 4
(CCEMCC) Simplex | Duplex | Fixedata assign | Multipoint >D
output stream, start timeslot, end timeslot >P4,22,31
(P4; TS 22; Fixedata ;) from, TS, = ; >S2,28
error, source timeslots out of range!
output stream, start timeslot, end timeslot >
Because the end of the available source stream timeslots were reached
before the output stream was complete (10 timeslots required) an error
was generated. No assignments would have been made and the operator
must then enter the correct source or escape back to the main menu.
