6) CRC4
The CRC4 error checking facility may be individually enabled or disabled
for line 1 and line 2. If CRC4 is enabled, the user has the option to
enable/disable the low error rate detection using CRC4. If enabled, the
low error rate is calculated using CRC4. If disabled, the low error rate is
calculated using the timeslot zero frame word. Note that CRC4 must be
enabled at
BOTH ends of the PCM stream otherwise data loss, including
loss of the management path, will occur due to CRC Reframe causing loss
of Frame sync.
7) Alarm
This allows the user to define the conditions for detecting the loss of
incoming signal when it is used to trigger an alarm event. The
parameters can be individually set for line 1 and line 2 and are the same
as those for sync (5.4.3 1)).
8) Ts Assign
DUPLEX
This method of timeslot assignment should be used where the Dual LIU is
required to operate in Multipoint (Drop/Insert) mode. Selecting 'Duplex'
allows individual timeslots to be dropped/inserted to either Line 1 or Line
2 timeslots from the matching timeslots on the cross-connect switch. In
port 1: line 1 is connected to S1; line 2 to S2. In port 2: line 1 is connected
to S3; line2 to S4. To make the connection, select the line required, 1 or 2,
and then enter 'E' for the timeslot it is required to Drop/Insert. In the
following example timeslots 1 and 2 will be dropped /inserted from P1 Line
1 to timeslots 1 and 2 of S1. Timeslots 1 and 2 in Line 2 will be replaced
by the Fcode since they are no longer connected through to Line 1.
Alternatively they may be reused and dropped/inserted to S2.
