5.3 System Mode Menu
5.3.1 Brief and Verbose Mode Selection
The power up state for these options are defined in the 'mOde' 'Install'
menu, but can be overridden with this command. Brief mode is intended
for test purposes or by an experienced programmer wishing to use a
computer to download a configuration through the local port for example.
The unit must be in verbose mode to operate with the NCS.

Note that in the above example when 'Brief' is selected the menu options
are suppressed with the '>' character indicating that a command input is
required.
5.3.2 Echo and Noecho Selection
The power up state for these options are defined in the 'mOde' 'Install'
menu, but can be overridden with this command.
(O) Verbose | Brief | Echo | Noecho | Terminal | Install >N
This will inhibit the operator input from being returned to the operator
terminal and will remove the CR/LF controls.
(O) Verbose | Brief | Echo | Noecho | Terminal | Install >E
This will restore the echo mode again.
5.3.3 Control Terminal Configuration
The multiplexer provides a menu for the purpose of setting the terminal
type connected by the operator. This modifies the screen control
characters issued by the multiplexer for screen display, e.g. the characters
sent during a backspace.
