On completion the VDU should display 'self test passed' if not it will
indicate failure and list the failed items. The self test will fail if Dual LIU
cards in ports 1 and 2 are not fitted with I/O adaptors.
2.3.4 Initial Multiplexer Set-up
Install the Dual LIU and channel interface cards in the required port
slots.
Connect a terminal to the local port and obtain the Root Menu prompt as
follows:

After switching on a new unit or one that is un-configured, it will be
necessary to set certain parameters using a dumb terminal. Carry out the
'Install' procedure under the 'mOde' menu option (see Section 5.3.4)
ensuring that networking is enabled. If required networking can be
disabled for Local/Remote operation after the changes have been saved. In
addition carry out the following:
1) Set the real time clock. (See Section 5.2.2.)
2) Set the calendar. (See Section 5.2.2.)
3) Remove all timed events. (See Section 5.2.3.)
4) Disable alarm events. (See Section 5.4.1.)
5) Install cards into the Equipment Map. (See Section 5.4.17.)
6) Load the default PCM configuration and save into all 14
configurations. (See Section 5.4.2.)
7) Check the active fault log and diagnose and clear any remaining
non PCM configuration faults.
2.3.5 Alarm Indicators
The 3200 has 9 LEDs which are situated on the front of the system
controller PCB. The LEDs indicate any alarm conditions that occur on the
unit. The main functions are listed below with a detailed function for each
LED contained in the fault chart in Section 6.1.1.
