X723-300151 6-26 Issue 2
Level 10 Faults
Frame slip
Frame slips will occur if there is a problem with the synchronisation of the
equipment. The slip is an attempt to re-sync to the Frame alignment
pattern. This will result in the omission or repeat of one frame of data.
Tslt 16 AIS
This fault indicates that the AIS signal, i.e. all 1's has been detected in
TS16.
MF sync loss
This fault indicates that the multiframe synchronisation pattern has not
been detected when the line is set to CAS mode. It is possible that the
incoming line signal is in CCS signalling mode.
Alarm event
This fault indicates that an alarm event has occurred i.e. an automatic
configuration change due to a fault. This fault can be cleared by manually
running a configuration.
Circuit Inhibit
Indicates that faults from the relevant circuit have been inhibited.
Map Mismatch
This fault indicates that there is an incorrect channel card fitted in the
chassis, or that no card is fitted where one is expected i.e. mapped in.
Level 11 Faults
Alarm 2
The alarm 2 fault is used to signify a channel card fault. Alarm 2 faults
are usually associated with operational faults (e.g. line signal loss).
Level 12 Faults
PSU A Fail
This indicates that power supply unit 'A' has failed, when 'fitted' in the
'mOde-Install' menu.
