Comms failure
This fault is used to indicate that the smart communication link between
the system controller and smart channel card has failed. This will mean
that none of the configurations running on the smart channel cards can be
considered to be valid, and the card should be re-initialised until the fault
clears.
Line O/P Fail
This fault occurs when the Mux detects that there is no output from the
specified output on a Dual LIU card.
Level 8 Faults
External status 6
This indicates the presence of an alarm condition on external status line 6.
AIS
This indicates that the AIS signal has been detected on the specified line
I/P of a Dual LIU.
Level 9 Faults
F sync loss
This fault indicates that the framing pattern of TS0 cannot be detected on
the specified line I/P of a Dual LIU.
Filt err 10E3
This fault indicates that an error rate of 1 in 10
-3
or greater has been
detected in the TS0 frame synchronisation word over a period of five
seconds.
CRC Reframe
This fault only occurs when CRC is enabled and the relevant Dual LIU
has detected errors exceeding 914 in 1 second, at which point the relevant
line will be forced to search for a new CRC Frame signal.
