6.5 NCS Fault Levels
Level 1 Faults
There are no faults at this level.
Level 2 Faults
There are no faults at this level.
Level 3 Faults
External status 2
This indicates the presence of an alarm condition on external status line 2.
Level 4 Faults
Power in failure
This fault indicates that a power fail condition has occurred.
Level 5 Faults
Event corruption
This fault indicates that the timed event store within the node is corrupt.
The most likely cause of this is the battery used for data retention has
discharged. The events within the store must be corrected for this fault to
clear.
Unconfigured
This fault indicates that the default configuration is running within the
node. This will occur if at power up the unit cannot determine the correct
configuration to run. The unconfigured fault can occur for Management,
PCM channel and Smart configurations.
Config 1 corrupt
This fault indicates that the background check routine has found this
configuration data corrupt. Ram corruption may occur if the battery
utilised for the retention of data has discharged. The configuration
corrupt fault can exist for PCM channel, Management and Smart
configurations.
