5.4.16 Management Configuration Linking
The management menu incorporates a menu option for the linking of
management configuration changes to channel configuration changes. In
linked mode, the management configuration would be re-selected with
every new channel configuration and/or timed event change. Each
channel configuration field will run the management configuration with
the same ID number if 'link' is enabled. Under NCS control the linking of
configurations is ignored.
Setting Link Mode
(C) Channel | Management | Link | Status | Equipment map >L
0=separated 1=Linked (current = 0) >1
With configurations linked, a channel configuration change to config 8
would change the management configuration to config 8.
Setting Separate Mode
(C) Channel | Management | Link | Status | Equipment map >L
0=separated 1=Linked (current = 1) >0
In separate mode, the management configuration would only change if the
operator or network controller gave a command to do so.
When the status of the 'Link' changes from 'Separate' to 'Linked', the
management configuration will not change until the next channel
configuration change.
Checking Link Status
(C) Channel | Management | Link | Status | Equipment map >S
Link =1 management currently linked to channel config
5.4.17 Equipment Map Editing
The equipment map contains a list of the cards mapped in the system and
those actually fitted. Each card type is identified by its card identity code
on the status ports. This allows a fault to be raised, called a 'Map
mismatch' if a card is removed, or an incorrect card type is inserted.
All smart channel cards MUST be entered into the equipment map for
correct operation and should be done before configuring them.
