D Bitte lesen Sie diese Betriebsanleitung sorgfältig durch, bevor Sie irgendwelche Arbeiten beginnen. Nach jeder Fahrt sollten Sie die wichtigsten Bauteile und Verbindungen überprüfen. Eine einzige gelockerte Schraube kann ausreichen, um Ihr Modell in eine gefährliche Situation geraten zu lassen! Wir wünschen Ihnen viel Spaß mit Ihrem CARSON-Modell und jederzeit gute Fahrt! Warten Sie Ihr Modell regelmäßig und wechseln Sie defekte oder abgenutzte Bauteile gegen Original-Ersatzteile aus.
Sicherheitsanweisungen D Sicherheitsanweisung und bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung Ein RC-Bootsmodell ist ausschließlich für Hobbyzwecke ausgelegt und darf nur auf dafür vorgesehenen Gewässern gefahren werden. Mit einem RC-Boot dürfen keine Tiere transportiert werden.
D Setzen Sie das Ladegerät, die Akkus und das Modell niemals widrigen Umgebungs bedingungen aus! Diese sind z. B.: Lassen Sie das Ladegerät zwischen den Lade vorgängen abkühlen. Trennen Sie das Ladegerät vom Netz, wenn der Ladevorgang beendet ist. • Nässe, zu hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit (> 75 % rel., kondensierend). Fassen Sie das Ladegerät auch nicht mit nassen Händen an. Ein defektes Ladegerät darf nicht mehr verwendet werden.
Anschließen der RC-Anlage D 2.4 GHz DSSS Digital Proportional Radio Control System Bevor Sie mit Ihrem neuen Schiffsmodell aufs Wasser können, muss noch eine passende RC-Anlage verbaut werden. Wir empfehlen unsere 2,4 GHz Pultsender Anlage CARSON REFLEX STICK 6 Channel Art. Nr.: 500500001 welche hier in den nachfolgenden Schritten als Beispiel eingesetzt wurde. Anschlüsse des Fahrreglers D 1. Zuerst müssen Sie den Regler am Gaskanal(In der Regel Kanal 1) des Empfängers anschließen und die Motorkabel mit der korrekten Polung am Motor anschliessen. Bitte kontrollieren Sie nochmals ob alle Kabel richtig angeschlossen sind. Erst dann stecken Sie den Fahrakku am Regler an und stellen den An/Aus-Schalter auf „ON“. 2. Ohne Signal des Senders wird der Motor nicht anlaufen. Montage im Modell • • • Montieren Sie den Motor mit passenden Schrauben am Motorhalter.
D Einbau der Elektronik Nach dem Anschließen der RC-Komponenten können die Bauteile nun im Rumpf platziert werden. Hierfür verwenden Sie am besten Klettband. Auf dem Bild unterhalb sehen Sie ein Beispiel für die Montage: Ausbalancieren des Rumpfes Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Fahrt die Wasserlinie. Setzen Sie hierfür das Boot ins Wasser ein und kontrollieren Sie ob der Rumpf gleichmäßig im Wasser liegt.
Steuern des Modells D • Stellen Sie das Modell so ab, dass die Ruderumlage frei in der Luft hängt. • Bewegen Sie den Steuerhebel bis zum Anschlag nach rechts und links. Das Ruder sollte dem Lenkausschlag folgen. • Schlägt das Ruder entgegengesetzt ein, betätigen sie den Servo-Reverse Schalter (ST in Position REV).
D Vorsichtsmaßnahmen beim Betrieb des RC-Modells • Fahren Sie mit dem Modell niemals in belebten Gewässern, in der Nähe von Menschen oder Tieren, um Schäden an Gegenständen oder Personen zu verhindern. • Fahren Sie mit dem Modell niemals in Gewässern mit Algen oder Schmutz. Sich fest wickelndes Gras kann die Schiffsschraube behindern und den Motor erhitzen. • Fahren Sie mit dem Modell nicht in fließenden Gewässern. Einschalten 1. Schalten Sie den Sender ein. 2.
Ausschalten D Gehen Sie in umgekehrter Reihenfolge wie beim Einschalten vor, um das Modell auszuschalten. 1. Schalten Sie das Modell aus. Akku abschließen. 2. Schalten Sie den Sender aus. • Berühren Sie oder blockieren Sie niemals die Schiffsschraube. • Der Motor und der Akku können beim Betrieb heiß werden. Gehen Sie vorsichtig damit um. • Entfernen Sie den Akku aus dem Modell und die Batterien aus dem Sender, wenn sie diese nicht verwenden.

Please read these Operating Instructions carefully before starting to do any kind of work. You should check the most important components and joints after every outing. A single loose screw can be enough to get your model into a dangerous situation. We hope you have lots of fun with your CARSON model and enjoy a good trip every time out! Carry out regular maintenance on your model and replace any faulty or worn-out components with original spare parts.
Safety Precautions Safety precautions and operating guidelines A RC boat is designed only for hobby use and may only be driven on waterplaces intended for this use. No animals may be transported using a RC boat. To avoid operating errors, it is essential that you read the instructions before use! To prevent the model being operated with faulty control equipment resulting in loss of control, the batteries in the transmitter and battery pack in the model must be tested to ensure the correct state of charge.
Never subject the battery charger, the batteries and the model to adverse local conditions! These are for instance: • Wetness, too high air humidity (> 75% rel., condensing). Do not touch the battery charger with wet hands. G Permit the battery charger to cool down between charging operations. Disconnect the battery charger from the power when the charging operation is finished. A defective battery charger may no longer be employed.
Assembling the RC unit 2.4 GHz DSSS Digital Proportional Radio Control System G An appropriate RC unit must be in service before you can take your new model boat onto the water. We recommend our 2.4 GHz transmitter tray unit CARSON REFLEX STICK 6 Channel Article no.: 500500001 which has been used here as an example in the following steps. Speed controller connections 1. First, you must connect the controller on the throttle channel (normally channel 1) of the receiver and connect the motor cable to the correct polarity on the motor. Then check again to see that all the cables are connected properly. Only then connect the drive battery on the controller and set the on/off switch to “ON”. 2. The motor will not start running without the signal from the transmitter.
Installing the electronics After connecting the RC components, the parts can then be placed in the hull. The best thing to use for this is Velcro ® tape. The diagram below shows an example for installation: G Balancing the hull Check the balance of the water line repeatedly. To do this, place the boat in the water and check whether the hull lies evenly in the water. If the balance is not yet perfect, you can move the battery again and replace it in a new position.
How to Control Your Model • Raise the tyres off the ground. • Move the control lever to the right and left up to the limit stop. The rudder should follow the steering angle. • If the wheels operate in the opposite direction, operate the servo Reverse switch (ST in position REV). G Left RIGHT-HAND LEVER Neutral Right Left Right Channel 2 Kanal 2 • Operate the stick for forwards/reverse travel to regulate the driving speed - forwards (make headway, accelerate) - backwards (reverse).
Cautions when Operating the RC Model • Never run the model in inhabited waters, near or toward people or animals, to prevent property damage and/or personal injury. • Never run the model in water with plant ant algae. Twining grass may hinder propeller rotation and may cause motor heat buildup. • Never run your model in flowing waters. G Start up 1. Switch on the transmitter. 2. Connect the battery and switch on the model.
Shut down Follow reverse procedure to shut down. • Never touch or hinder rotating parts and propeller. 1. Turn off the model. Disconnect the power pack. • The motor and battery may become hot during operation. Take care when you handle them. 2. Turn off the transmitter. • Remove the batteries from the model and the transmitter when they are not in use. G Maintenance and Care Your model must be regularly checked for proper control functions.
