Error Messages
Table 6-1 defines the error messages and meanings for the TAPI
drivers.
Table 6-1. TAPI Error Messages and Explanations
Message: Invalid command line parameter.
Valid command line parameters are:
Meaning: The command line syntax is invalid. The installation
process is aborted.
Message: A CT driver is already installed at
software interrupt xxH.
Meaning: A CT driver has been previously installed on the same
software interrupt. xxH denotes the software interrupt.
The TAPI driver looks only for the string CT DRIVER
-. It does not look for a specific type of driver.
Message: Communication error - unable to send
command.
Check that the touch system is
properly connected.
Meaning: The TAPI driver could not initialize the touch system
because the driver could not send commands to the
touch system. A timeout occurred while attempting to
transmit the command.
Message: Communication error - report expected
but not received.
Check that the touch system is
properly connected.
Meaning: The TAPI driver could not initialize the touch system
because a report that was expected was not received. A
timeout occurred while waiting for the report.
Message: The selected RS-232 serial port was
not found.
Meaning: The RS-232 driver could not initialize the touch system
because the driver could not find the specified serial
port.
