NOTE: If the device is in sleep mode, the SOS Emergency can only be cancelled from
the Thuraya SatBridge by pressing the SOS button.
Canceling the SOS/Emergency Feature
To cancel the SOS/Emergency feature, press the button on the Thuraya SatBridge or tap the
<TBD cancel SOS> button in the app. Any user can cancel the SOS via the device or the
SatBridge App, regardless of who initiated the request or the method of initiation (the button
on the Thuraya SatBridge or in the SatBridge App).
NOTE: The Thuraya SatBridge must have an active satellite connection to initiate or
cancel any SOS request.
When the SOS is cancelled, all connected users receive a notification that the SOS message has
been cancelled, along with the time of cancellation and whether the cancellation occurred on
the device or in the app. If the SOS feature is cancelled in the app, the name of the user who
cancelled the SOS is included.
If the Thuraya SatBridge is powered on, you can cancel the SOS emergency using the button on
the device or within the SatBridge App. However, if the Thuraya SatBridge is in sleep mode
when an SOS emergency is in progress, you can cancel the SOS emergency only by using the
button on the Thuraya SatBridgeyou cannot cancel the SOS emergency within the SatBridge
App since it will not be connected to the device.
Once the SOS/Emergency feature is cancelled, the Thuraya SatBridge connects to the satellite
and resumes to normal operation.
