The Thuraya SatBridge contains an integrated Positioning System receiver that supports Global
Positioning System (GPS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) that is used to
provide location information. GPS location information is required for system access, and the
reception of a new GPS location is attempted automatically every time the Thuraya SatBridge is
powered on. This is required to establish the connection with Satellite.
For optimum GPS signal reception, make sure the Thuraya SatBridge is positioned in a roughly
horizontal placement. The GPS is located on the Wi-Fi Hotspot unit of the Thuraya SatBridge.
The Wi-Fi Hotspot GPS receiver must be able to see a large part of the sky without obstructions
from buildings, mountains, or trees.
