5. Wire the burner — RM7897C primary control
Wire the burner (RM7895CorRM7897Cprimarycontrolonly)
1. Allwiringmustcomplywith:
• IntheU.S.—theNationalElectricalCode,ANSIZ223.1/NFPA54.
• InCanada—theCanadianElectricalCodePart1,CSAstandardC22.1.
• Allapplicablelocalcodes/standards.
2. ConnecttheburnerfollowingFigures13and14andanyspecialinstructions
orwiringdiagramsprovidedwiththeappliance,burnerorothercomponents.
3. Theburnerrequiresa120VAC/60hz/single-phasecontrolpowersupply,with
a10-ampfuse.Thecontrolcircuitcurrentdrawisapproximately1.2amps.An
additionalpowersourceisrequiredforthemotor(120VACor208-220VAC,
60hz),withfusesizedaccordingly.SeeFigure14foreldwiringconnections.
4. ReadtheHoneywellRM7897Cinstructionsforinformationonsettingaroom
thermostat,ifused.
5. Makesuretheburnerandappliancearecorrectlywiredandthelineswitch
isproperlyfusedfortheload.
Turnoff power to appliance when servicing burner.
Failure to comply could result in severe person-
al injury, death or substantial property damage.
