5. Slidetheamescannersightpipeassemblyforwarduntilthe3/8"pipe
tsagainsttheretentionringassembly.Thentightenthe1/8"Allenscrew
tosecurethetubeinplace.
6. Checktheelectrodesandrepositionifnecessary.Positiontheelectrodes
asshowninFigure5.Thesesettingsarecriticalinensuringareliable
ignition.
7. Oncetheelectrodesareset,checkallclampstobesuretheyaresecurely
tightened.

Insertthecombustionhead/nozzleassemblyintotheburnerandsecure

Inspect components and wiring
• Visuallyinspectallburnercomponentsandwiring.
• Verifythatwiringisintactandleadsaresecurelyconnected.
• Verifythatallburnercomponentsareingoodcondition.
Install gas train on burner
1. Thestandardburnergastrainisshippedfullyassembled,withthepiping
disconnectedatthegastrainunions.Seeseparateinstructionsifinstalling
anoptionalknockeddowngastrain.Thegastrainisavailableineither
anangled(standard)orstraight(optional)conguration.
2. Connectthemainandpilotgastrainsattheunions(Figure6).
Toavoiddamagetogastraincomponents,donotholdcompo-
nentswithapipewrenchorovertighten.Useonlyacrescent
wrenchorothermeans.Failuretocomplycouldresultinsevere
personalinjury,deathorsubstantialpropertydamage.
3. Connecttheexibleconduit,pre-attachedtotheburnerJ-box,tothegas
trainJ-box,andattachthewirestotheterminalstripinsidethegastrain
J-box.
a. Matchwirecolorsoftheincomingwirestothosepre-wiredtotheterminal
stripinsidethegastrainJ-box.

Gasvalveventopening—TheV48diaphragmgasvalveis
NOTttedwithaventlimitingoriceintheventconnection.
Iflocalcodesrequire,installpipingfromtheventconnection
tooutside,sizedandinstalledasrequiredbycodes.Because
thisisadiaphragm-assistedsolenoidvalve,asmallamountof
gaswillexitfromtheventoriceeachtimethevalveopens.
