NOTE
The alignment pin must not show any signs of looseness.
5. Position barrel assembly (8) with alignment pin (27) up. Using barrel removal fixture (13), clamp
barrel assembly in vise (17).
NOTE
The slot should fit the alignment pin perfectly with very little or no rotational play
present. Note the play in a new barrel assembly and new upper receiver assembly
and use this as a guide.
6. Wipe upper receiver threads clean and ensure there are no burrs. Apply molybdenum disulfide grease
(WP 0045, item 18) to the threads before installation.
7. Align upper receiver assembly (11) using alignment pin (27) and slot in upper receiver assembly.
Install over end of barrel assembly (8).
