12. Place upper receiver and barrel assembly (14) into barrel removal fixture (13) and clamp into

machinist's vise (17).

NOTE

Combination wrench must be pushed toward upper receiver assembly to compress

slip ring spring in barrel nut assembly. Do not use a torque wrench to loosen the

barrel nut assembly.

13. Using combination wrench (15), loosen barrel nut assembly (19).

14. Separate upper receiver assembly (11) from barrel assembly (8).

15. Remove barrel assembly (8) from machinist's vise and barrel removal fixture (13).
