Handling
No specific hygiene procedures noted, but good personal hygiene practices
are always advisable, especially when working with chemicals. Practice good
housekeeping. Avoid conditions which create dust.
Handling / Physical hazards
Do not store near heat sources or expose to high temperatures. Keep
containers tightly closed.
Storage Precautions
Keep container tightly closed to prevent the loss of water. Store in a cool
place.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Appropriate engineering controls
No specific recommendation made, but protection against nuisance dust
must be used when the general level exceeds 10 mg/m3.
Eye protection
It is a good industrial hygiene practice to minimize eye contact. No special
precautions. If contact is likely, safety glasses with side shields are
recommended. Normal eye protection practices should be used. If dusty
conditions exist, chemical goggles are recommended.
Skin and Body Protection
No specific precautions.
Personal protection
Always observe good personal hygiene measures, such as washing after
handling the material and before eating, drinking, and/or smoking. Routinely
wash work clothing and protective equipment to remove contaminants.
Respiratory Protection
No protection is ordinarily required under normal conditions of use and with
adequate ventilation. Observe occupational exposure limits and minimize the
risk of inhalation of dust.
