• Teak is renowned for its rich golden-brown appearance but also for its classic
aging appearance after exposure to the elements of weather and time. Over
time teak will naturally change to a mature, silver-grey patina. This generally
begins to happen after 4-5 months of no treatment. If left for 2 years without
treatment, the silver-grey patina will change to a dark grey/green colour.
Many connoisseurs of teak furniture prefer this mature silver-grey patina, but if
the original golden-brown appearance is preferred, we recommend treating
your furniture using a teakwood sealer oil.
