Note
Before turning the HDMA-4000Sync on, input the reference signal properly.
External sync will not be done properly if the input of the reference signal
stops or the settings of the reference signal are changed during operation.
Note
All the HDMA-4000Sync units being used for sync playback must be
connected through a single HUB. If the HDMA-4000Sync units are connected
to a HUB in a cascading manner, synchronization may be faulty.

* To simplify this explanation, consider that an IP address has been specified for all three HDMA-
4000Sync units and the PC, and that the setup screen is available via a Web browser. (For
instructions on how to specify an IP address for HDMA-4000Sync units, see Reference 4.)

Set up the three HDMA-4000Sync units as follows, using a Web browser.
(For items displayed in the Web browser, see Reference 4.)
* Items not described below will be set to their default values.

Open the HDMA-4000 Setup page, Local settings page and select [1.
System settings][Boot mode] and [Serial controls].

Select [2. Network settings] and enter the [Host name].
* In this example, the host name of the master unit is [host1] and the host names of the
slave units are [host2] and [host3] respectovely.

Select [4. Serial control settings][Content drive] and [Internal drive].
Then select [Serial control operation mode], [Pioneer LD/DVD].

Select [5. Playback mode settings][External sync operation], [Enable].
In the [Multiple units sync mode], select [Master] for the master unit and
[Sync slave] for the slave unit. Leave [Playback start packet multicast
address] and [Playback start packet port] at default values and click the
[Settings] button.
