Firmware update using a Web browserFirmware update using a Web browser
(1) Copy the firmware archive file to a PC accessible by the HDMA-4000.
(2) Use a Web browser to access the HDMA-4000 Setup page.
(3) Select [Firmware update] and start the update.
(4) Once the update completes, the HDMA-4000 will automatically restart.
Firmware update via network or USBFirmware update via network or USB
(1) Copy the firmware archive file and the firmware update control file to a USB
device or to the content update folder.
* For more information on the control file, see: “Descriptions of content update control file,”
in Reference 1.
(2) Once the update completes, the HDMA-4000 will restart automatically.
Possible reasons for failed updates:
- The file is invalid.
- The version has already been applied.
Note
Please do not play content or perform remote controller operations while the
firmware update is in progress.
Please do not turn off the HDMA-4000 while the firmware update is in
progress.
