1. Insert the S500 Setup Software & User’s Guide CD-ROM in the CD-ROM
drive.
2. Open the Printer Driver folder on the CD-ROM, then double-click the
IInnssttaalllleerr
icon.
3. Read the License Agreement, then click
AAcccceepptt
.
4. Click
IInnssttaallll
. The printer driver will load automatically.
If the message “No other applications can be running...” displays,
click
CCoonnttiinnuuee
.
5. When the installation process is complete, click
RReessttaarrtt
.
6. After the computer restarts, TURN THE PRINTER ON.
7. Select the
AAppppllee
menu, then
CChhoooosseerr
.
8. Click the
SS550000
icon in the Chooser.
To use the BJ Print Monitor, click the
BBaacckkggrroouunnddiinngg
button to
the
OOnn
position. For instructions on using this feature, see
the S500 User’s Guide on the Setup Software & User’s Guide
CD-ROM.
9. Close the Chooser.
10. Align the printhead. (See “Aligning the Printhead” on page 23.)
