Carefully remove all items from the box.

o Remove the shipping tape from the front and back of the
printer.
fJ Open (a) the card slot cover first and (b) the front cover next,
Pull down and remove the protective material on the right
side.

• Close the front cover first and the card slot cover next.
e Plug the power cord into the back of the printer and connect
the other end to a power outlet.
Press the POWER button. The printer will initialize. Wait until
the POWER lamp remains fully lit.

W NOTE: Do not connect the USB cable at this stage.
o When the screen appears on the LCD, confirm a language
and then press the OK button.
W NOTE:
-If the language you want to be displayed is not selected, refer to
"An Unintended Language is Displayed on the LCD" in the Direct
Printing Guide.
-Ifyou leave the printer more than five minutes without using any
button on the operation panel, the LCD goes into sleep mode
automatically. Press the OK button to turn
on the LCD again.
o Open the card slot cover first and the front cover next.
The FINE Cartridge holder automatically moves to the left.
Write down the serial number. You will need this to register
the product.
