If the original image is too dark or too bright, or if the image quality is at due to lack of contrast, you can
adjust the levels of brightness and contrast.
The gamma is active if [Color (Photo)] [Color (Documents)] or [Greyscale] is selected in [Color Mode].
You can set up the gamma without having to display a preview and the settings will be active when you
scan.
In ScanGear MP Advanced Mode, follow the steps below.
1 Click [Reset].
2 On the [Color] tab, click (Brightness/contrast).
3 For a color image, in [Channel], select to only adjust either red, green or blue, or select [Master] to
adjust the three colors together.
4 Move the [Brightness] slide to the left to increase the darkness of the image, and to the right to
increase the brightness of the image.
Move the [Contrast] slide to the left to decrease the contrast of the image, and to the right to increase
the contrast of the image. You can also enter values (127 to 127).
