Installing the Optional
Accessories
Optional Accessories
The following optional accessories are available in order to make full use of the
printer functions. Purchase them to fulfill your needs. For the optional
accessories, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
Paper Feeder
In addition to the supplied multi-purpose tray and paper cassette, up to five
paper sources can be used by installing the optional paper feeder.
The paper feeder can be loaded with up to approximately 550 sheets of plain
paper (20.0 lb Bond (80 g/m
2
)) of A3, B4, A4, B5, A5, Ledger (11 x 17),
Legal, Letter, Executive, 8K, 16K and the following custom paper sizes.
- When loading paper in portrait orientation: Width 8.27 to 11.69 in. (210.0 to
297.0 mm); Length 8.27 to 17.00 in. (210.0 to 431.8 mm)
- When loading paper in landscape orientation (Only when UFR II Printer
Driver is used): Width 8.27 to 11.69 in. (210.0 to 297.0 mm); Length 5.83 to
11.69 in. (148.0 to 297.0 mm)
IMPORTANT
• Up to 3 paper feeders can be installed.
• PAPER FEEDER PF-98B is designed for LBP5975/5970/5960. You cannot
use a paper feeder designed for other models.
Expansion RAM
Expansion RAM is an extended memory that expands the amount of memory.
This printer comes with 256 MB of memory. One expansion RAM module can
be added, and the memory capacity can be expanded up to a maximum of
768 MB.
(+ XX MB) in the table indicates the capacity of the optional expansion RAM
that is required in addition to the standard RAM.
The values in the Guaranteed Paper Size for Printing column in the table are
those when performing 1-sided printing with RESOLUTION set to FINE, and
GRADATION LEVEL set to HIGH 1. The paper size is based on the A or B
series paper sizes. The paper sizes (dimensions) are A3, Ledger (11 x 17),
8K, B4, Legal, A4, Letter, 16K, Executive, B5, Envelope B5, Envelope C5, A5,
Envelope COM10, Envelope DL, and Envelope Monarch in descending
dimension order.
The guaranteed paper sizes for printing vary depending on the settings for
RESOLUTION, GRADATION LEVEL, and 2-SIDED PRINT. on printing.
Calculate the sizes based on the paper sizes in the table above.
