Before You Start Using This Machine

q (Density) key
Press to darken or lighten the density of the
documents you want to copy.
r (Image Quality) key
Press to select the image quality best suited to
the quality of your originals.
s OK key
Press to confirm and accept your settings.
t (Copy Ratio) key
Press to enlarge or reduce copies. For more
information, see Chapter 1, “Basic Operations,” in
the Copying Guide.
u (Paper Select) key
Press to select the desired paper source.
v Main Power Indicator
Lights when the main power is turned ON.
w Error Indicator
Flashes or lights red if an error occurs in the
machine.
x Processing/Data Indicator
Flashes or lights green when the machine is
performing operations.
y (Frame Erase) key
Press to set the Frame Erase mode. For more
information, see Chapter 2, “Advanced
Operations,” in the Copying Guide.
z (2-Page Separation) key
Press to set the 2-Page Separation mode. For
more information, see Chapter 2, “Advanced
Operations,” in the Copying Guide.
A (Finishing) key
Press to set the Finishing mode. For more
information, see Chapter 2, “Advanced
Operations,” in the Copying Guide.
B (Different Size Originals) key
Press to set the Different Size Originals mode.

C (Image Combination) key
Press to set the Image Combination mode. For

D (2-Sided) key
