LAB TEST
Canon imagePROGRAF iPF710
Buyers LaBoratory LAB TEST REPORT—European Edition
offers with the imagePROGRAF iPF710, was included in this evaluation,
and also proved easy to use. Whether utilising the straightforward SmartLF
or more advanced CopySmart software, the Colortrac scanner package
enables user-friendly scanning and copying of large-format documents,
though superior overall functionality and greater colour accuracy, quality
and consistency were achieved using the CopySmart program. Designed
for CAD and GIS applications, the Colortrac scanner reproduced ne line
architectural plans and maps well at the 600-dpi resolution setting. Based
on its overall performance, BLI recommends this low-cost printer/scanner
package for architectural, engineering, construction and GIS professionals.
Furthermore, when used with premium media, the Canon imagePROGRAF
iPF710 wide-format printer is an acceptable wide-format printer for high-
quality graphics and sign applications as well. The Colortrac scanner is not
designed for graphics applications.
