Sending faxes


Restricting use of your machine
By enabling this feature, you can prevent unauthorized use of your machine to make calls and
send faxes.
Enabling restriction
Follow this procedure to enable restriction of your machine:
1 Press [Menu].

] to select <USER DATA>.
3 Press [OK].

] to select <FAX SETTINGS>.
5 Press [OK].

] to select <TX SETTINGS>.
7 Press [OK].

] to select <UN/LOCK PHONE>.
9 Press [OK] twice.
10 Use [22

] to select <ON>.
11 Press [OK] twice.
12 Use the numeric keys to enter a four-digit password.
• This password prevents unauthorized access to the <LOCK PHONE> setting that enables or
disables restriction of your machine. If you do not want to enter a password, ignore this step.
13 Press [OK].
14 Press [Stop/Reset].
Restriction of your machine is now enabled. No one can use your machine to make calls or send
faxes. Please note that this setting does not restrict incoming calls or faxes.
