Getting Started
Updating the Alternate Printer Driver (Windows NT 4.0/
2000/XP/Server 2003)
If you use a shared printer on a network, and an alternate printer driver is installed
on the server, the alternate printer driver is updated simultaneously when you
install a new driver with the Installer. To update the alternate printer driver manually
without using the Installer, follow the procedure below.
Windows NT 4.0

On the [Start] menu, point to [Settings] ➞ click [Printers].

In the [Printers] folder, right-click the printer icon for your
printer ➞ click [Properties].

In the printer properties dialog box, click the [Sharing] tab.

Select the alternate printer driver you want to update from
[Alternate Drivers] ➞ click [OK].
