To register a new department, click [Department ID
Management Settings] ➞ specify the necessary fields on the
Register New Department screen ➞ click [OK].
You can also display the Register New Department screen by clicking [ ]
(New) in step 1.
Enable User Management:
If this check box is selected, User Management is enabled.
When User Management is enabled, the user must enter the
User ID to be able to use functions, such as the Copy and
Fax functions. (This enables you to keep track of the total
number of prints by user and set impression limits.) You can
click [User Management Settings] under this check box to
register a new user. (See step 3 of "User IDs," on p. 3-21.)
PDL Jobs without ID:
Sets whether to accept or reject print jobs from computers
that do not correspond to any registered Department ID. If
this check box is selected, the machine accepts print jobs
from computers that do not correspond with a registered
Department ID.
Clear All Counts: Click this button to reset the counter to zero for all
departments.
