Managing Department and User IDs
The Remote UI enables you to manage Department and User IDs when in the
Administrator Mode.
Follow the procedure below to specify Department and User ID Management
settings from the Remote UI.
IMPORTANT
If you are using Department ID Management, we recommend that you register the
System Manager ID first. Otherwise, all users will be considered as end-users and
anyone cannot change some of the machine’s settings using the Remote UI.
NOTE
•
The Department ID Management settings available using the Remote UI are the same as
those that you can access from the control panel of the machine by pressing
(Additional Functions)

[Department ID Management]. For
instructions on using the control panel to specify Department ID Management settings
and more information on Department ID Management, see Chapter 5, "System Manager
Settings," in the Reference Guide.

The User ID information can be managed from the Remote UI only.
