Attach the rear cover back to the
printer.

Insert the right-side pin into the hole in
the side panel of the printer.

Insert the left-side pin into the hole in
the side panel of the printer.

Close the rear cover.
If the rear cover cannot be closed
completely
The xing unit may not have been pushed
in far enough. Take the following actions.
1
Push in the xing unit until a snap sound
is heard.
Step 7 on page 7
Use your thumbs to push on both sides
of the xing unit together, using the
marks as a guide, with even pressure.
If no snap sound is heard, remove the
xing unit and try attaching it again.

(on the right side)
While pushing this
portion toward the inside
of the printer, make the
pin snap into the hole.

Place the duplex unit back into
the printer.
Securely hold with both hands.

Connect the USB cables and LAN
cable to the printer, and turn ON
the printer.

Reset the counter of the xing unit.
After replacing the xing unit, perform the
following procedure using the operation
panel.
Do not reset the counter except
when replacing the xing unit.
Otherwise the counter will be unable to
operate properly, causing the printer to
malfunction.

Select <Yes>
