If a strange sound occurs around
the xing unit during printing
The xing unit may not have been pushed
in far enough. Take the following actions.

Turn OFF the printer, and disconnect the
power cable and the LAN cable.

Remove the duplex unit and the rear
cover.
Steps 1 to 3 on page 7

Push in the xing unit until a snap sound
is heard.
Step 7 on page 7
If no snap sound is heard, remove the xing
unit and try attaching it again.
Now the maintenance kit
replacing procedure is
complete.
Use your thumbs to push on both sides
of the xing unit together, using the
marks as a guide, with even pressure.
