access applications no longer have to be a daily challenge.

PATRON-FRIENDLY

The image.SCAN system guides even first-time users through the

process of capturing high-quality digital images from microforms,

without staff involvement. The specially designed, easy-to-use

interface can be accessed in English, Spanish, or French! Users are

presented with a very simple, touch-screen-enabled interface that

utilizes tutorial videos to guide them through everything from

loading microfilm or microfiche to capturing their images electronically.

DIGITAL

Microforms meet high technology, and built-in hardware help is just

the beginning. Once images are scanned, a toolbox provides familiar

PC image correction at the touch of a button. Despeckle, Deskew, and

Invert (negative/positive image) are just a few of the time-saving

functions.

VERSATILE

Scanned images can be “foldered” based on a user name

or ID number, and then can be printed directly, saved to disk,

e-mailed, or saved for printing by a central station. What’s
