Easy-PhotoPrint and Exif Print:
Smart Photo Processing of Digital Camera Images
Until now, top-of-the-line digital photo solutions and print quality was ensured only with Canon Digital Cameras and Bubble Jet
Printers. Now with support of the Exif Print standard, high quality photo prints from virtually any digital camera can be printed
from Canon Bubble Jet Printers.
Exif Print (Exif 2.2) is a new worldwide printer independent standard. Under Exif 2.2, the digital still camera can record data tags
for specific camera settings and functions such as whether the flash was on or off, if the camera was in landscape, portrait or
night scene mode, etc. Referencing some or all of this information, an Exif Print compatible application can process digital cam-
era images intelligently based on specific camera settings and the shooting environment.
How Exif Print Works
Through the simple 3-step visual process of image selection, paper size and
type, and final printed layout, Easy-PhotoPrint automatically sets the optimum
driver settings for beautifully stunning photographic output from your Canon
printer. Easy-PhotoPrint features Exif Print to improve the print quality of
digital camera images by intelligently processing the images using the
camera settings and shooting environment stored in the image file.
Canon's Photo Printers include drivers withcolor tables that allow Easy-
PhotoPrint to process the digital camera images using all of the same
colors available when the picture was taken. Since both the digital camera
and the printer have a larger color capability than a typical computer
monitor, Canon has designed Easy-PhotoPrint to utilize the larger color
capability for the newer printers. The result will be more vibrant colors
in the extreme blues, greens, yellows and reds that exceed the colors
displayed on a monitor.
